Who is responsible

We are responsible for the personal information described here, and we handle it in line with applicable data protection law, including the law of the United Arab Emirates.
What we collect
- When you contact us through a form or WhatsApp: your name, contact details and what you tell us.
- When you sign up for the worksheets library: your name, email address, phone number, the year the student is in, your country (which sets the currency you pay in), a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself), the programme you choose, and when you accepted our Terms and Conditions.
- When you use the portal: which pages and documents you open and when, and the internet address you connect from. We use this to run the service, to apply the free trial's daily reading allowance and to protect the library from automated copying.
- When a free trial starts: a one-way coded fingerprint of your email address, of the browser you confirmed it in, of the device itself (from technical details of your browser and screen that it shares with every website, read by the open-source FingerprintJS script, together with the network you used) and of the connection you used, so that each person has one free trial. These fingerprints cannot be turned back into the address, browser, device or connection.
- When you sign in to the worksheets library: a one-way coded token for that sign-in, so that an account is signed in on one device at a time.
- When you pay: what you bought, the amount, the date and the payment reference. Card and bank details go directly to Ziina or Razorpay; we never see them.
- Emails we send you: account confirmation, password resets, receipts and reminders before a trial or subscription ends.
CuratedPrep mentorship students' information is handled under their mentorship agreement as well as this policy.
Why we use it
- to create and run your account, the free trial and your subscriptions;
- to take payments and keep the records the law requires;
- to send the emails that go with the service (we do not send marketing email without asking);
- to keep the service secure and stop misuse;
- to reply when you contact us, and to reach you about your account by email or phone.
Cookies
We use two essential cookies: one keeps you signed in to the portal, and one, set when a free trial starts, remembers that this browser has had a trial. The page where you confirm your email reads a device fingerprint for the same purpose (see above); it stays on our servers, and the script's own usage report to its makers is switched off. Sign-up and sign-in pages use Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people from automated programs. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run CuratedPrep, and only as much as each needs:
- Ziina and Razorpay, to take payments;
- Hostinger, which hosts the website, the database and our email;
- Cloudflare, for the Turnstile security check;
- Google, which serves the fonts;
- authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers process information outside the United Arab Emirates, under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 48 hours.
- Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it.
- Payment records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires, even after an account is deleted.
- The one-way fingerprints that keep free trials to one per person are kept for as long as the service runs (connection fingerprints count only for 30 days, device fingerprints for 180 days).
Children
Many of our students are under 18. If you are under 18, please sign up with a parent's or guardian's agreement; they can contact us about your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email info@curatedprep.com from the address on your account and we will reply within 30 days.
Security
Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, the site runs over an encrypted connection, links in our emails work once and expire, and worksheets and marking schemes are checked against your account on every request.
Changes
We will update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
