Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to everything on curatedprep.com and to every CuratedPrep service. Please read them: by using the site, creating an account or paying for a service, you accept them.

1. Who we are

curatedprep.com and the services described on it are run by CuratedPrep, Pinnacle Building, 615 Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Barsha 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Email info@curatedprep.com, telephone and WhatsApp +971 58 657 0088. In these terms, "CuratedPrep", "we", "us" and "our" mean CuratedPrep; "you" means anyone who visits the site, holds an account or uses a service, and where you are under 18, also the parent or guardian responsible for you.

2. These terms

  • These Terms and Conditions apply to the whole website, the student portal, the worksheets library, timed papers, resources and articles, enquiry forms, and every service we offer, including mentorship, university guidance and test preparation.
  • Some services also have their own written agreement, proposal or invoice (for example a mentorship programme). Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement for that service applies, and these terms cover everything it does not.
  • Our Privacy Policy and Refunds and Cancellations policy form part of these terms.
  • If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the site or our services.

3. Our intellectual property

Everything on the site and in our services that we create is owned by CuratedPrep or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, database, trade mark and other intellectual property laws of the United Arab Emirates and internationally. This includes, without limit:

  • the text, articles, guides, designs, layouts, graphics, illustrations, photographs we own, videos and software of the site and portal;
  • the CuratedPrep name, logo, brand and look, which are our trade marks;
  • our worksheets, timed papers, diagnostic reports and resources: the selection of questions, their arrangement by syllabus topic, sequencing, formatting, commentary, answer spaces and every compilation we make, which are our own original work even where individual questions come from past examination papers;
  • our teaching materials, mentor notes, plans and feedback given within any service.

Past examination questions and published marking schemes belong to the awarding bodies that set them, such as the International Baccalaureate, Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge and AQA. We use them for education and label each with its source. CuratedPrep is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any awarding body. Nothing in these terms gives you any right in their material beyond what the law allows.

All rights not expressly given to you in these terms are reserved by CuratedPrep.

4. What you may do

We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to view the site, and to use any material you are entitled to (free, in a trial, or paid for) for your own private study, and for nothing else. Where a service lets you download a worksheet, you may keep and print it for your own study. This licence ends when your access ends or if you break these terms.

5. What you must not do

Unless we have agreed it with you in writing, you must not, and must not help anyone else to:

  • copy, reproduce, republish, sell, rent, lend, share, send or distribute any of our material, in whole or in part, by any means, including by email, messaging groups, social media, file-sharing sites, cloud folders, printed copies for others, or screenshots or photographs passed on;
  • use our material for any commercial purpose, including for teaching or tutoring other students, in a school, tuition centre or online course;
  • share your account or password, or let anyone else use your access;
  • download, scrape, crawl or copy the site or the library with scripts, bots, browser extensions or any automated means, or try to get around rate limits, access controls or downloading restrictions;
  • remove, hide, crop or alter the CuratedPrep watermark, copyright notices or source labels on any page or file;
  • use our material, or let it be used, to train, test or feed any artificial intelligence or machine-learning system;
  • adapt, translate or make new works from our material, or present it as your own;
  • copy or imitate our name, logo, brand, design or content in a way that could confuse anyone;
  • interfere with the security or working of the site, upload anything harmful, or try to reach any part of it you are not given;
  • use the site in any way that is unlawful, misleading or harmful to others.

6. Watermarks and monitoring

Pages and files in the library carry a CuratedPrep watermark, and we record how the library is used (which pages and documents are opened, when, and from which account and connection) to protect it and to find the source of any copying. By using the library you agree to this. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle that information.

7. If these terms are broken

If we reasonably believe you have broken sections 4 or 5, we may, without notice and without any refund:

  • suspend or close your account and end any access you have paid for;
  • ask platforms and service providers to remove copied material;
  • take legal action, seek an order stopping the copying, and claim our losses, damages and reasonable legal costs from those responsible.

Where a person under 18 is responsible, we may contact the parent or guardian who accepted these terms.

8. Accounts

  • Give accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date. An account is for one person only.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
  • A worksheets library account can be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in on another device signs the first one out.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and should make any payment.
  • We may suspend or close an account that is inactive for a long period, that was opened with false details, or that is used in breach of these terms.

9. The worksheets library: free trial and subscriptions

  • Free trial. When you sign up and confirm your email, you get a free trial of 15 days. During the trial you can read every worksheet and marking scheme online; downloading is not included. One trial per person: a further trial is not available on another email address, device or connection used for one already. A daily reading allowance applies. No card is needed and nothing is charged.
  • Subscriptions. A subscription is bought per subject and gives 30 days of access to that subject from the moment the payment goes through; buying a subject you already hold adds 30 days to the end of your current access. With a subscription you can read the subject's worksheets online and download them as PDFs for your own study, and read its marking schemes online. Marking schemes are not available to download.
  • Buying ends the trial. Paying for any subject ends the free trial straight away: from then on, only the subjects you have paid for are open. The checkout says so before you pay.
  • No automatic renewal. Subscriptions never renew by themselves and we never charge you without you starting the payment. We email a reminder before a subject ends.
  • Content. We add to and improve the library over time. Subjects still being prepared are marked "coming soon" and cannot be bought until they are ready.

10. Prices and payments

  • Prices are shown before you pay, in the currency set by the country you chose when you signed up, and include any tax we are required to charge.
  • Online payments are processed by Ziina (for currencies other than Indian rupees) or Razorpay (for Indian rupees). We do not see or store your card details. Your bank may charge its own fees, for example for a payment in another currency.
  • Fees for mentorship and other services are as set out in the proposal or invoice for that service and are payable as stated there.
  • We may change our prices at any time. A change does not affect anything you have already paid for.
  • Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Refunds and Cancellations policy.

11. Our services and results

Our guidance, mentorship, test preparation, articles, worksheets and reports are educational support. We work hard to make them accurate and useful, but we do not promise any particular grade, score, offer of admission, scholarship or other outcome, which depend on many things outside our control. Information on the site about schools, universities, examinations and awarding bodies is given in good faith and may change; please check important details with the institution concerned.

12. Things you send us

When you send us information through a form, email or WhatsApp, you confirm it is accurate and that you are entitled to share it, and you allow us to use it to reply to you and provide our services, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not send anything unlawful, offensive or that belongs to someone else.

13. Other websites

The site may link to websites and services run by others, such as awarding bodies, universities and payment providers. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information; their own terms apply.

14. Availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site or our services, for example for maintenance, security or improvement. We will try to keep interruptions short and, where a change materially affects something you have paid for, we will tell you and put it right fairly, which may include a refund for the unused part.

15. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the site and our materials are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose.

16. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of opportunity, data or profit, and our total liability to you in connection with any service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service in the 30 days before the claim arose (or for a service not paid for, to AED 100).

17. Your responsibility to us

You agree to compensate CuratedPrep for any loss, damage, claim or reasonable cost (including legal costs) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site or our material.

18. Ending your use

You may stop using the site and close your account at any time by telling us. We may suspend or end your access as described in sections 7 and 8. Sections 3, 5, 6, 7, 15, 16, 17 and 20 continue to apply after your access ends.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add services or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes apply from the date they are published and do not affect anything you have already paid for. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

20. Law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute or claim connected with them or with the site or our services, are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction.

21. General

  • If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest remains in force.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a business that takes over the relevant service.
  • These terms are written in English, and the English version applies.
