The SAT matters mainly for US universities, and some others ask for it or accept it. Before any practice starts, we check whether the student's universities need it at all. If they do, preparation is built around the score they need and a date that does not collide with school exams.

Taking the SAT exam in the UAE
Students in the UAE sit the Digital SAT at College Board test centres, most of them schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, on the international test dates, usually seven a year between August and June. Registration is on the College Board website, where families pick the centre and date and pay the test fee, which for the UAE includes an international regional fee. On the day, students bring a passport as photo ID and a device with the College Board's Bluebook app installed and checked.
Popular Dubai centres fill early before the autumn and spring dates, so we plan the sitting, and a second one if needed, months ahead.
How SAT preparation works
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Destination | Which universities, and whether they require, accept or ignore the SAT |
| 2. Diagnostic | A full practice test to find the starting score and the question types costing marks |
| 3. Targeted practice | An error log drives practice on those question types, with pacing trained, not hoped for |
| 4. Timed tests and review | Full adaptive practice tests, reviewed against the target score, before the chosen date |
Timing that protects grades
Mocks, predicted grades and application dates decide when the SAT should be sat, so preparation never collides with the school calendar.
One team, one route
Academic mentorship, test preparation and university counselling sit under one team, so the mentor teaching a subject this term already understands where the student is heading in two years.
Common questions
Does my child need the SAT?
It depends on the universities. The SAT matters mainly for US applications; many UK universities do not require it. We check each university's current policy before practice starts.
How is the Digital SAT scored?
From 400 to 1600, with 200 to 800 for Reading and Writing and 200 to 800 for Math.
When should a student sit the SAT?
Usually in Year 12 or Grade 11, at a date that avoids mocks and leaves time for a second sitting before application deadlines.
Do you also prepare students for the ACT?
Yes. If the ACT suits a student better, we will say so. See test preparation.
What is the difference between SAT classes and one-to-one SAT coaching?
Group SAT classes teach the whole test at one pace. One-to-one SAT coaching starts from the student’s own diagnostic test and spends the time on the question types that cost them marks, which is usually the faster way to a target score.
Where can you take the SAT in Dubai?
At College Board test centres, most of them schools in Dubai and across the UAE. Families choose the centre and date when they register on the College Board website, and should book early for the autumn and spring dates.
